Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. - Joshua 1:9
For those of you who follow either of us on Facebook, you've probably seen many updates that Alex has posted over the past week. For those of you not on facebook, we can share a link to videos to those of you not on facebook. Should you want to receive those, please send me (Bethany) an email (TandonsinAsia @ Gmail. com) or a text if you have my number. I don't want folks who want updates to miss out, but I also don't want to clog up anyone's in boxes. Here is a link to the video update he did Sunday night - Sunday March 26 Update.
Since Sunday he's continued on the breathing tube and continuous dialysis machine. They are helping his body to rest and regain strength to continue to fight this battle. This morning's report was encouraging as his breathing continues to improve. The swelling due to so much fluid is also slowly and steadily decreasing.
I really don't have many words, but do want to thank you all for your prayers. Many have reached out in such encouraging ways and it blesses our heart. Our church family continues to provide food over and above our needs. The prayers of His people are going out all over the world. We trust and believe God's best in Joshua's life. Pray with us for continued improvements and that all will see God's mighty hand at work.
Prior to all of this, Alex had committed to preach on April 2. His passage was pre-set from the series in Mark we are going through and his section is about the healing of the woman with the issue of blood and the raising of Jirus daughter. Before Joshua was sedated and unable to communicate he and Alex talked about it and he wanted Alex to continue with his plan. Joshua was looking forward to "studying" with Alex as he prepared. Would you pray for Alex and he soaks in this passage to share it. Pray for the work of the Holy Spirit to be strong and evident, and especially with him Sunday as he preaches. He'd love to have you there in person if you are local, Awaken Church 171 Newland Road, Columbia SC or Awakencolumbia.com online. The service starts at 10am.
I'm not going to add additional prayer requests at the bottom this time, because I can't think through them right now, but the most obvious is to keep praying in faith, believing God is going to heal our strong boy, because as it says above God is with us/him!
Love you all
